Podcast "Valentía Sin Nombre"

We present this podcast—the first in the series “Valentía Sin Nombre”—a project of the United States chapter of the World Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE), in collaboration with Mariposa Cultural Foundation and RATT (Network Stop Trafficking and Exploitation).

The series features narrations of real-life stories about people who face difficult situations—such as human trafficking, injustice, or violence—and demonstrate courage without being publicly recognized. It focuses on making visible these silent struggles, especially among Latin American communities, combining journalistic storytelling with thoughtful social reflection.

About the Chapter

The Chapter seeks to organize programs and events centered on gender related issues and themes that further our empowerment as journalists and writers. Chapter members will undoubtedly attract new professional opportunities, and inspire and strengthen our members as journalists and writers.

Chapter members also have the opportunity to travel as a group of USA AMMPE Chapter to various conferences around the world.

About AMMPE WORLD

AMMPE was founded in Mexico City in 1969 by Gloria Salas de Calderon. The World Association of Women Journalists and Writers is a non-governmental organization that encompasses journalists and writers from around the world.

Its first event was attended by women journalists and writers from 37 countries. Since then, with brief interruptions, the organization has held biannual meetings or Congresses in various cities around the world and has been steadily growing. Currently, the organization has chapters all around the world and members from 22 countries.
